Health Coverage Tax Credit (HCTC)

HCTC is a federal program that provides an 80% subsidy in the cost of DirigoChoice for eligible individuals. The purpose of the program is to help those individuals who have lost their insurance and employment due to trade adjustments.

To be eligible, enrollees must be currently:

• Receiving Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) benefits - including Reemployment or Alternative TAA or
• Receiving pension payments from the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) and be 55 years or older
