DirigoChoice™ is health care coverage designed to give Maine businesses with 50 or fewer employees, the self-employed, and individuals an affordable, high-quality option for health coverage. With DirigoChoice, employees of small businesses can now afford to participate. Enrollees receive discounts on monthly payments and reductions in deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses based on their income and family size. Discounts can be as high as 100%.

DirigoChoice is part of a broad strategy to lower health care costs, increase access to health care, and ensure high quality health care. It will look like many health insurance products currently on the market and is carried by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine. Participation is voluntary. In addition, DirigoChoice will encourage a healthy lifestyle by offering a variety of wellness resources and 100% coverage for prevention services.
