GOHPF Staff
Created by the Governor in January 2003 and under the direction of Director, Trish Riley, GOHPF directed the development of the Dirigo Health Reform Act and retains overall responsibility for the Dirigo Health Reform Act and serves as a liaison to the new Dirigo Health Agency. Additionally, it directs health policy for the Governor's Office and State Government.

Funding & Support
Additional staff support provided by the Muskie School for Public Policy and the National Academy for State Health Policy through a grant from the Maine Health Access Foundation.
Along with the expressed support of Maine people from throughout the state, the Governor's Office of Health Policy and Finance has received valuable support from several state and national health care foundations and the Federal Government. Most notably, the Maine Health Access Foundation, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration, the Commonwealth Fund, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation have given financial as well as staff support to enable real reform of the state's health care system. Additional in-kind support has been given by the Commonwealth Fund and the Milbank Memorial Fund.
